ssh → tmux → claude

Claude Code on your Mac, from your iPhone

Kessik opens Claude Code on your Mac over SSH. Every session starts inside tmux, so it keeps running when your phone locks, loses signal or closes the app. Come back later and carry on.

iPhone with iOS 17 or later. No server, no account, nothing collected.

Ask Claude from your phone.

tmux, on by default

Lock the phone. The work goes on.

The phone only watches. Claude runs in a tmux session on the Mac, so a locked screen, a dead zone or a closed app changes nothing. Pick the same folder again and Kessik attaches to the session that is already there.

The key bar

The keys a phone forgot.

esc, ctrl, Tab, Shift-Tab and the arrows sit above the keyboard, with the shell symbols you pick. Swipe to scroll history. Pinch to resize text.

Shift-Tab cycles Claude Code’s modes: default, accept edits and plan.

› Buttons for prompts

When Claude Code shows a numbered menu, such as a permission prompt, Kessik shows one button for each option.

› Write or dictate a prompt

The pencil key opens a text box for a long or dictated prompt. It goes into the terminal as one paste, so a new line does not send it early.

› Replies and snippets

One-tap replies sit above the terminal. Saved commands wait in the Sessions tab. Export and import them as JSON.

› Send photos and files

Send a photo or any file, up to 100 MB, to the Mac for a Claude prompt. Kessik types the path for you.

› Preview a port

Forward a dev server port from the Mac and open it in Safari inside the app.

› Search the scrollback

Search the last 10,000 lines of the tmux session. Each match shows with the lines around it, and a tap copies the line.

› Every Mac you have

Save several Macs, give each one a name and switch between them with one tap. Paste an ssh line and Kessik fills in the host, user and port.

› Jump hosts

Reach a Mac through another one, like ssh -J. Set it once for each Mac, and Kessik checks the host key of every hop.

› A start command for each Mac

Run codex, or claude with your own flags, in place of the default. Each Mac keeps its own command.

› Home or away

Find Macs on your Wi-Fi with Bonjour. Away from home, connect through Tailscale on any network.

› Your colors, your font

Six terminal themes, or import an iTerm2 .itermcolors file, and give each Mac its own. Four bundled mono fonts, or add your own, with a block, bar or underline cursor.

› Guides in the app

Four guides cover connecting, logging in without a password, setting up Claude Code and using the terminal. Each ends with fixes for the errors the app shows.

Setup

Three things on the Mac.

Four guides in the app walk through each step. Tailscale is optional.

Privacy

No server. Nothing collected.

Kessik has no server of its own, no account and no analytics. It connects only to the Macs you choose, over SSH.

Security

Your keys stay on the phone.

Make an ed25519 key in the app, import your own ed25519 or ECDSA key, or make a Secure Enclave key whose private half never leaves the chip and asks for Face ID at each login. Saved passwords live in the iPhone Keychain. If a Mac's host key changes, Kessik stops.
