Each version of Kessik, newest first.

1.0.0

Claude Code on your Mac, from your iPhone.

The first version of Kessik. It opens Claude Code on a Mac over SSH and starts every session inside tmux, so the session keeps running when the phone locks.

  • New

    Sessions that keep running

Every Claude Code session starts inside tmux on the Mac. A locked phone, a dead zone or a closed app does not stop it. Pick the same folder again and Kessik attaches to the session that is already there, and Reconnect returns to it after a dropped connection.

  • New

A key bar for Claude Code

esc, ctrl, Tab, Shift-Tab and four arrow keys sit above the keyboard, with up to 16 shell symbols that you choose and order. Drag the arrow pad to move through menus. Swipe up to scroll the tmux history, and pinch to change the text size.

  • New

    Claude's menus as buttons

When Claude Code shows a numbered menu, such as a permission prompt, Kessik reads the screen and shows one button for each option. A tap sends that option's number.

  • New

    Write or dictate a prompt

The pencil key opens a text box for a long or dictated prompt. Insert puts the text into the terminal as one paste, so a new line does not send the prompt early, and Send adds Return.

  • New

    Replies and snippets

Reply chips above the terminal type a saved reply such as continue or yes. Command snippets run in a new terminal on the Mac after the app asks. Both kinds are edited in Settings, and both export and import as a JSON file.

  • New

Send a photo or a file

Send an image copies a photo to /tmp/kessik on the Mac and types its path, so the image can go into a Claude prompt. A HEIC photo becomes a JPEG on the way. Send a file does the same for any file from Files, up to 100 MB.

  • New

    Preview a dev server

Preview a port forwards a port on the phone to the same port on the Mac over the SSH connection and opens it in Safari inside the app. A dev server that listens only on the Mac shows on the phone.

  • New

    Search the scrollback

Search reads up to the last 10,000 lines of the tmux session. It ignores case, shows a count and highlights each match with the lines around it, and a tap copies the line.

  • New

    Several Macs

Save as many Macs as you like. Each has its own name, terminal colors, start command and jump host, and a tap makes the Sessions tab use it. A pasted line such as ssh -p 2222 me@my-mac fills the hostname, username and port.

  • New

A start command for each Mac

A Mac can have its own Start command, such as codex or claude --model opus. New Claude session runs it in the tmux session in place of claude --remote-control.

  • New

    Reach any Mac

Kessik finds Macs on your Wi-Fi with Bonjour and offers the Mac's Tailscale address for use away from home. A jump host, set for each Mac by hostname, port and username, lets the phone reach a Mac through another one, like ssh -J. The host key of each hop is checked.

  • New

Keys that stay on the phone

Make an ed25519 key, or a P-256 key whose private half stays in the Secure Enclave and asks for Face ID at each login. Import an ed25519 or ECDSA OpenSSH key by paste or from Files. A toggle asks for Face ID before any login, and a changed host key stops the connection.

  • New

    Colors, fonts and cursor

Choose a dark, light or system theme, one of six terminal palettes or an iTerm2 color file you import. Four mono fonts are included and you can add your own. The cursor can be a block, a bar or an underline, blinking or still.

    Guides in the app

Four guides cover connecting to a Mac, logging in without a password, setting up Claude Code and using the terminal. Each ends with fixes for the errors the app shows.

The same notes are in the app, under Settings, Changelog. Both read one file, so neither is ahead of the other. Anything missing: support@kessik.com.
